Our life changed 1 year ago today!
One year ago today my little sister Tara was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. She had surgery and had her left ovary removed along with a 22cm test Germ Cell tumor! What a shock it was to me and our whole family. I can remember that night like it was yesterday! When I found out my knees buckled and I fell to the ground in tears! I was SICK! Terry just held as I cried and worried.
As I look back I CAN'T believe that my little sister has been through something so unimaginable! I look up to her so much she really is a solid rock and I am so happy she is here, healthy, happy and can now look forward to a clean healthy life!!! She is in private nursing school now and doing so amazing! My parents played a HUGE part in this too! They really were there for her 24/7!!! I can't even imagine everything your sister wenrt through. I'm sure her life will forever be different. She sounds like such a strong and amazing person!

That is so great that she is healthy and doing well. What a huge scare. Nothing like those tender mercies and miracles to open our eyes and help us to appreciate our lives.
It's been a year already? Crazy. I remember your phone call like it was yesterday, and us BOTH refusing to believe it was cancer before the tests. That girl has amazing strength.
Wow, she is younger than us! That is so frightening. Tiffany, you have such a supportive husband. I am really SO glad that Tara is healthy and on her way to a successful, fulfilling life!
