I am ready for 30!

It's a long one
So, tomorrow with it being my 30th birthday I thought I would jot down some of my feelings, thoughts, beliefs, heartaches etc. about my 30 years on this earth. So here it goes:
(not in any order)
~ I am a PROUD and happy mom. I DO have crazy, full of stress, days where my eyeballs pop out but I would NEVER change an ounce of it. See, I really believe I was born to be a mother. It's been a dream since I was probably Paige's age. I have LOVED LOVED LOVED babies and kids my whole life. I have learned throughout motherhood to be so patient. It helps ya know! My kids are my life! I just want to be the best I can be! They deserve it!
~ I have learned to dance a TON! That's all we do most of the time! The kids and I have a blast dancing to all kinds of music and we dance when we are happy, sad, mad, overwhelmed, frustrated and whatever mood were in we DANCE!!
~ I have learned just because you "birth" a child or helped conceive one does not make you a mom or dad. As some of you know I have a "birth" dad who wants nothing to do with me and treats me worse then a stray dog. That man......UGH!!! He is just not nice to say the least! He has NEVER seen my children(his choice) and I haven't seen him since the day I got married. In fact he was so mad at me that day he actually took my wedding present back! YEP!! He is the type of "dad" that wants to be recognized just because I have some of is blood. It has taken me a LONG time to get over the fact he no longer wants to be apart of mine or my children's life. Which actually is a SERIOUS blessing! 'Bob" my dad is WAYYYYYYYYY better then "birth" dad will ever be. So what have I learned from this? We need to EARN our name of being a mom or dad. The birth is such a tiny part of something so amazing! So.. see it all works out! Love it and LOVE Bob!
~I have learned to follow your dreams and your heart and to not be chicken to fail. I am such a "middle girl" I love being neutral because it's safe. That is so great but we need to go beyond that because we can learn and grow so much! Photography was that scary step for me. I didn't want to fail and didn't think I was good enough. Granted I am still not the best but I do know that I am good.
~Eating healthy is a BIG part of my life! I am learning that just because it says it's healthy..READ THE BACK and see it's really not! We are teaching our kids this and we feed them pretty healthy and it feels so great to know that I am doing them sooooo good! It is going to pay off!
~Life is beautiful and life is short no matter how long you live! Live it up!
~ Watching my sister battle cancer was a HUGE eye opener! People say that until you watch someone you love go through something like that you haven't seen much! It's the truth! It was so hard! I learned quiet a bit and got so much closer to her.
~ I have learned that my mom is an amazing "Nana"! Holy heck she is crazy awesome! The kids adore her. In fact the UPS man just dropped off the kids Valentines box from her! they are freaking out!
~ I LOVE being a wife!!!!!!! That's another thing I have always wanted to be! I remember making cookie dough and Kissy's house, eating it while looking through a bridal magazine. I was hoping to be married by 18 but hey.....I guess someone else had something in mind! Having Terry as my partner has been so incredible! Being sealed to him is an honor.  I remember to the "tee" the very first time I laid eyes on him.....mmmmmmmm....MAGIC! I could go on and on about him! xoxoxo I want to be the best I can be for him too.... he deserves it!
~ I have such a strong testimony of the gospel. It is a very important part of my life. I have grown so much because of it. I have such a passion for the church and love it so much. Especially the YW! I am the Laurel advisor and that calling brings me so much joy! I just want to do so much for those girls because my YW leaders did so much for me! I believe with all my heart and soul that it is so true!
~I have learned that life is different when you live far from home.
~Don't eat too much cookie dough or else........
~ Mexican food it STILL my favorite and will always be!
~ No gray hair yet.............
~ I have learned to budget "our" money with Terry. If it wasn't for him..ummmmm? Not sure where the money would be?
~ Serve, serve, serve...it's so much fun!
~Kennewick is so different from Vegas!
~ I have learned that having good friends is so important. I really have the greatest friends. It was so hard for me to find friends when I moved here 5 years ago. Life is so much better.
~ Marriage can be so tough but sooo freakin amazing! Married life is the best!
~Holy heck where will I be in another 30 years?????
~ Listen to your heart....
~ I have learned that no matter what it's always good to "better" yourself.

Those are just some thoughts going through my head right now not anything great but I needed to get them down the eve of my last day in my 20's! I hope to learn more and grow more throughout the next 30 years! 30 really isn't that bad and isn't that different! I am going to LOVE it!

Happy Birthday!!! It is so great to see how happy you are and how much you love your family!! I can't believe you are turning 30. I met you when you were 16, I think. You were beautiful and so mature and so smart!

I was amazed at your strong spirit and your testimony, especially because you were the only one in your family that believed and wanted to baptized. I loved your family! Your mom is so sweet!

I remember once a superball or a grape rolled under the fridge and Tara couldn't reach it. She tried to lift the fridge to get it. I couldn't help laughing. She must have been six years old. She struggled with all her might until her face was red and bulging to lift the fridge! It was so cute!

Fun memories! Have a great, Happy Birthday!

Okay, I looked it up in my mission journal and you were still 11 years old when we met you! That makes you even more impressive! You were only 11 years old reading scriptures and going to church all on your own! It still amazes me!!
