Bye,Bye!
So .........this morning at about 4:45am my dear sweet hubby left to go on the Alaskan cruise for a week! He went with his dad for free but not because his dad paid for it but because it was given to his dad and I didn't feel right unless I said yes. The thought of him staying behind would haunt me forever. So he's gone and I hope he will have a good time. The reason why I am posting this is because everytime I tell people he went I get the" without you?" answer and the pitty look!!! UGH!!!!! What's the big deal? Can't my husband go and have fun too without me? He deserves just as much fun as anyone else! I mean don't get me wrong I would have LOVED to have gone...TRUST ME it would have been bliss but I am just as excited that Terry can go. I made a promise to myself to not hold Terry back, let him still have his hobbies and do what keeps him happy. They need that! I think in todays world men do ALOT more in the home and outside the home then back in the day and have a ton of pressure on their shoulders.
I am so happy for him right now and can't wait to hear about how much fun he had! I miss him already!

I've done this a couple of times Tiff. Colby goes on these hunting trips for 7-10 days and it's hard. But you're right, they work hard and they deserve to play hard too. Good luck with everything while he's gone.
Billy also went on a paid trip to Alaska, go home Monday morning. I too have been getting the "with out you" comments. He got a FREE $3000 trip, how could I say no! Halibut fishing just doesn't do it for me like it does for him anyways.
...or 'got' home Monday morning.
you are such a good wife! i hope to be this good in the coming weeks.
I agree I think they deserve it too. I let Bryce go anytime he wants to because he doesn't go very often and he is always working hard for our family and always giving us everything we want and need. Hope you have a good week without your hubby. Hope all goes well with the kids.
Thanks girls! It's good to hear there's other women out there that do it too!
It's great that your husband has a chance for quality time with his dad. As hard as it is to be away from the kids (I know!) you should do a girls' weekend with your friends, too. I meet up with two of my college friends every year in a different city and we have tons of fun!
